In just ten short years, Kubernetes has become the second largest open source project in the world (behind only Linux itself). This massive growth and adoption leads to newcomers wondering how they can get involved in such a mature and extensive project. Lachlan will share the journey of the ever-changing Kubernetes release team and their determined drive to deliver a new Kubernetes release every four months. We’ll follow the paths of leaders in the Kubernetes community, who bring their unique perspectives as seen in release names like Reaching New Peaks, Stargazer, and Mandala. Through these stories, we’ll share the best ways to get started in the open-source community and encourage the next generation of leaders.
